Nannette is the primary public information officer for the City of Miami Beach, Florida and has overseen the city’s internal and external communications efforts, since 1995. The office is responsible for media relations, publications (print and electronic), branding/graphic design, public relations and marketing, crisis communications, employee communications, and events. Her team has earned national and statewide recognition for their accomplishments.
Prior to joining the City of Miami Beach, Nannette was senior publicist for WPBT/Channel 2 coordinating local and national publicity and advertising campaigns for the public television station and its programming. A note-worthy honor was the co-creation of KidVision, the children’s programming block/brand that has since been recognized and emulated nationally.
She has also held various other positions in public relations and marketing throughout her career.
Professionally, Nannette serves as immediate past-president of the Florida Government Communicators Association (FGCA) and on the Board of Directors of City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA). She is also a member of Public Relations Society of America Miami Chapter, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA).
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and marketing from the University of Miami. She is married and has two children (young adults) and is also active in her community.
