Focus on Innovation

In an evolving business environment, CIOs are redefining their role from IT experts who provide core technology services and facilitate process efficiency to strategists who enable flexibility and change. This shift allows the CIO not only to expand the impact of the IT function in an organization but also to promote it as a value center rather than a cost center. As the role of the CIO is expanding, it is more important than ever to help organizations explore how technology can drive innovation and provide the support needed to implement the necessary change.

IT innovation provides organizations with opportunities to grow and achieve their strategic goals by enhancing their competitive position, productivity, and potential cost savings. It allows organizations to seize new opportunities and find new approaches in problem solving, managing risk, and improving regulatory compliance and transparency. Exploring new ways of finding and interacting with customers and of fostering more productive relationships with partners are ways that IT innovation can further enhance competitiveness. However, collaborating more widely and creating new customer channels come with the added risk of security breaches which is why innovation and security are two subjects that go hand in hand.
