Florida State University, in conjunction with the Agency for Enterprise Information Technology, is pleased to present the
FGTC Cyber Security Summit. Public sector IT security professionals, as well as experts in the private sector, are invited to this one-day event. This is an excellent opportunity for
IT security professionals to congregate and exchange ideas, and to discuss new solutions for today's issues in cyber security.
As computer attacks continue to increase, both in number and sophistication, it is vital that organizations understand how to properly protect themselves. A single unchecked vulnerability or a policy incorrectly enforced could lead to the loss of citizens' faith in their government.
The State of Florida is not immune to these attacks. As the fourth largest state in the country, Florida is a major target and its information technology systems are subject to thousands of attacks every day.
Speakers include experts from both private sector and public sector security organizations. In addition to the cyber security education track, an exhibit hall of security-related vendors will be open for participants to view their products and services.
